Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette, better known as Colette, was a novelist, journalist, screenwriter, librettist and magazine artist and French cabaret. He acquired international celebrity for his novel Gigi of 1944, which was taken to the cinema by Vincente Minnelli in 1958.
She tells the life of a young woman who is raised by her mother, grandmother and aunt, who educate her to make her the worthy wife of a wealthy sugar man.
