Synopsis
Seventy years after the events in Cita with Rama, the second Ramana ship finally reaches the solar system. This time their arrival is expected and an expedition is sent to discover more about the mysteries surrounding Rama, but the crew is not prepared for what they will discover and for the conflicts that are unleashed between them. Rama II incorporates new characters and a new line of argument, which has little in common with the previous novel and in fact serves as a starting point for its own sequel. It concludes with three of the twelve astronauts trapped inside Rama, while the ship travels towards the confines of the solar system. The astronauts who travel in Rama are Nicole des Jardins Wakefield, Richard Wakefield and Michael O'Toole.
