Synopsis
The novel is set for a period of ten years, from 68 to 58 years. C., which Julio Caesar spent mainly in Rome, climbing the political ladder and overcoming his many enemies. It opens with Caesar, returning early from his Quaestor position in Spain, and closes with his historic march to the Galia campaigns.
